Hello lovelies, I hope you all had a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day! Today I am continuing with the green in a much lighter shade of mint. I’ve had this mint gingham button up from Gap for a couple of weeks now. I purchased it with the intentions of wearing it with my mint jeans and green jeans I had recently purchased from Alloy. While browsing the Gap site again during the friends and family event I came across these pretty mint boyfriend roll up shorts and at 40% off I decided to give them a try. I’m glad I did. These shorts are super cute and comfortable like boyfriend jeans. I love that they are offered in tall size as well as regular and petite. They can be rolled up as I am wearing here and the cuff isn’t permanent or stitched in so you can unroll them for a different look. Now let’s talk about this necklace! It definitely makes a statement. I love the mint and purple colors along with the bling. I tell you great statement necklace really adds that extra touch to an outfit. As you can see here, I’m just quite casually but with this necklace added it kicks it up a notch and makes this look more put together. Casual, comfy and glam, it doesn’t get much better than this for me. I decided to break out my J. Crew Oxfords which I adore. They are so comfortable I also have them in the mirror metallic silver. I told you guys I was a preppy girl at heart and would start showcasing it more on the blog. These types of shoes which are cute, stylish and comfortable are what I have been trading in my heels for as of late and I have no regrets so far. Although you will still see the occasional heel or two in some posts, for what I really wear everyday will look a lot like this.
Now to talk about re-mixing because you know I have to be able to incorporate these pieces with other items I already have in my closet. As you see here mint pairs very well with nutmeg or cognac. I also love it with navy, purple, coral, different shades of yellow, and green. These are colors that I already have in my closet in jackets, jeans, blazers, sweaters, skirts and pants. So they can and will be re-mixed. For example these mint shorts with my white/navy stripe tee and navy cardigan. Or with my green sweater. The mint gingham button up with my purple jeans, green jeans or navy pants or shorts. Lots of different options you will be seeing this upcoming spring and summer on the blog.
Thanks for stopping by!
