Over the past couple of months I have been dissecting my closet. Slowly going through it piece by piece and trying to figure out whether the pieces in my closet were a true representation of who I was and how I wanted to present myself to the world. The process ended in me getting rid of about seven large garbage bags worth of clothing, shoes and bags. I still have a lot more to do but I love how it is coming along. I still probably have a couple more months before it is entirely how I imagine it, but well on its way. This black midi dress was a closet find that still had the tags on it. Of course it was a keeper.
It is the basic foundation piece for this simple yet chic look that makes me feel absolutely amazing! The shoes were a recent purchase from Eloquii. I had been looking for olive green shoes in my size for quite some time and came across these beauties. When they arrived I was so pleased, I love the color, style and fit. I also purchased them in a cognac brown color and am seriously contemplating the black, which are sitting in the shopping cart now. These shoes make a statement on their own and the neutral colors that they are available in make them go with anything. This faux suede jacket from Missguided is now a current fave. It is supersoft, so it drapes over the body without being too boxy. By acquiring these two pieces I believe I have infused some new life into my wardrobe. Olive green is a neutral that goes great with a myriad of colors. Stay tuned for more looks such as this coming to the blog.
