I’ve been trying to get my sewing mojo back and found out that making simple and basic pieces that I need in my wardrobe was a great way to start.  I have already made two of these maxi dresses so far and will be making quite a few more in other solid colors.  What I love about maxi dresses is that they can be worn all year long and styled in so many different ways.  I decided to style this diy black maxi dress with a leopard print scarf and denim vest after coming across a photo on Pinterest and realizing that I had all of the pieces in my closet to recreate the look.  I really love Pinterest because it allows me to get the most out of my wardrobe.  By adding a lightweight scarf and this denim vest t was a great way to create a “look” from a simple maxi dress.
