Hello Lovelies! I am super excited about today’s look! It features these cute diy pink and white stripe shorts I made using See and Sew 6010 pattern (with modifications) and this cotton poplin fabric I picked up from my local Yardage Town fabric store. The pattern is actually for strapless romper or jumpsuit but I knew I busted wanted simple paper bag waist shorts and this would be a good pattern to alter for what I wanted. I simply added a 4 inch waist band and 1/2″ elastic added into the wait. I also made two carriers and attached one at each side of the shorts to hold the tie. To accommodate for my height I added 1inch to the crotch and voila I had the perfect length shorts for myself. To make today’s look a bit more grown-up I decided to to pair them with my white blazer and bright pink pumps. But I also plan on wearing these shorts in a more casual look with this same camisole and sandals as well as white sneakers and a tee, paired with a denim jacket.
