Black and white, polka dots, ruffles all of these things scream spring! So I’ve had this white and black polka dot print fabric for several months with the intentions of making a simple skirt. When I purchased it several months ago it just sat there because I had lost my sewing mojo. Well as of late I have been having fun creating cute, everyday wearable pieces that could easily fit into my wardrobe. Well this is another fave! I love how big and bold the polka dots are and how they turn this simple skirt into a statement piece. I will definitely be making and living in many of these type of skirts as soon as the temps warm up. The length is great for running around with my boys and can be worn with flat sandals, as well as sneakers. I can pair it with a simple tee or tank, a button up or sweater. Also layered with a cardigan, blazer or denim jacket. Today I decided to pair it with this cute ruffle trim bodysuit I picked up on major sale from J.Crew several weeks ago. It was like $8, I ended up picking it up in pink and navy as well. I hope to find some cute fabric with bold pink and navy prints to pair those with as well. My bag was another sale find from Zara, also picked up several weeks ago. I love the black and white quilted diagonal stripes and how they add for a subtle subtle print mix.
