Tropical Storm

I know everyone was just talking about the Polar Vortex and we still have a lot of winter left, but remember I live in Southern California and we don’t get those super cold temps. But the weather forecasters do predict a lot of rain over the next several days. So I’m beating the gloomy days by thinking ahead and prepping for sunny and warm spring and summer days, hence this foliage print slit hem dress from SHEIN. When I spotted it online I loved the color, bold leaf print, slits and wrap top bodice! But I wasn’t enthusiastic about the cut out sides, it’s perfect for a tropical vacate but not my everyday life, especially since my mid section is the area where I carry a lot of my weight. But I thought this is a dress that I could pair easily with my denim jackets (white and blue), also with my cardigans. This dress comes in size s-xxl and for reference I am wearing the xxl and it fits perfectly. Please note that this dress has two high slits, a little too high on my 6’4″ so I plan on sewing them down a little further so that I don’t flash anyone if a gust of wind pops ups. My tip for shopping SHEIN dresses is that I only look at the midi and maxi length dresses and I always size up one. If it ends up being a little too big I can always take it in but if it’s too small, that can be helped so err on the size of big. Also make sure you already have shoes, layers, accessories to pair with it for at least four different looks. We are all about mixing and matching and always having something to wear when you look in your closet.
