Seven Magic Mountains

I knew right away that on our way to Las Vegas I wanted to stop and take a look at the Seven Magic Mountains art installation created by Ugo Rondinone, a Swiss artist. It’s on exhibit for two years just outside of Las Vegas and can be seen off of the I-15 as you are heading into Las Vegas. There are seven colorful and brightly painted boulders stacked 30 to 35 feet high. It really is a sight to be seen and of course take pictures with. The desert landscape makes for the perfect backdrop to showcase these totems. I can’t imagine them looking the same or giving off the same type of vibe, say if they were just stacked in a huge warehouse. It is located approximately 10 miles south of the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and St. Rose Parkway in Henderson. If you’re ever in the area I would definitely recommend and say its worth the stop to have a look at them and snap a few pics for the gram. When we arrived around 3pm there were quite a few people out but if your patient you can capture images at a single totem with out some one walking through or standing in your shot.
