The elastic waistband and attached self tie hits at the smallest part of the ways, helping to cinch it and create an uber flattering shape. The material is an un-lined stretchy knit polyester and spandex blend. It is black with a gold-ish floral link continuous print. It is machine washable and at an (in my opinion) affordable price point. As far as sizing and fit, it is available in tall sizes S through XXL. I am wearing the XL. I love the long sleeve length of this dress as it hits me right at my wrists. According to the website the length is 61″ from the highest point on the shoulder to the bottom hem. On my 6’4″ frame it does not sweep the floor, but hits me just below my ankles in my bare feet.
