Ok so how amazing is this Blue Halter Neck Floral Print Maxi Dress from SheIn and my tall ladies do you see how long it is.  And yes this actually came from SheIn and what if I told you it’s only $23!! For reference I am wearing a size XL and I’m  6’4″ tall and I am wearing 3″ wedge sandals.  On the model this dress sweeps the floor.  But I was so surprised to see that it was still actually maxi length on me,  hitting right at my ankles.  As you can see from my pictures It doesn’t look too short at all.  So I’m thinking if you’re tall and shorter than me this would be a great length on you and guys this dress is even prettier in person!  I can see it being worn to a summer wedding, a bridal shower, brunch or date night where you just want to feel pretty. Now let’s talk about this Merona Gingham Bomber Jacket from Target, as soon as I laid my eyes on it in the store I knew I had to have it, believe it or not specifically for this purpose.  I have been seeing dressier dresses and skirts dressed down with bomber jackets and I love the look.  So I attempted it here with some print mixing, and I have to say I love how it turned out!  Gingham is the perfect summer print and I love that this bomber jacket is lightweight and makes a great layering piece.  Today I’m print mixing with florals and I will be pairing it with stripes soon as well.Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion and DIY Style Blog - Blue Halter Neck Floral Print Maxi Dress from SheIn Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion and DIY Style Blog - Blue Halter Neck Floral Print Maxi Dress from SheIn

I am totally loving graphic tees right now and have been finding some cute ones as of late.  Today I am rocking this cute Cuba tee from Old Navy. I was instantly drawn to it by the colors and red/orange trim. Unfortunately I don’t see it online any longer, so you may want to check your local store if you like it as much as I do.  But I have also linked some similar ones up above as well. Graphic tees can be dressed up or dressed down with denim, as I’m wearing today, or skirts and shorts, as I have done in previous posts.  I have added a blazer and heels for this casual and chic look, but you could easily slip on a cute pair of flats, slides, mules or even sneakers with this look as well.  Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion and DIY Style Blog - Cuba Neon Brights Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion and DIY Style Blog - Cuba Neon Brights

Simple, cute and comfortable, these three words are right up my alley when it comes to getting dressed in the summertime.  When the temps start heating up and the bus have been driving me crazy from being out of school I need outfits that can be quickly thrown together but still have me looking put together and a maxi dress and denim jacket is the answer most of the time for me.  Especially since I’ve gotten my sewing mojo back and have been making these in various colors…lol  They are so easy to just throw on and go, love a look that doesn’t take much effort.  This one was super easy.  I’ve linked some grey maxi dresses above and I hope you all already have a denim jacket in your closet because it is a wardrobe staple, but just in case you don’t I’ve got you covered there as well.  Keep in mind this works with any color maxi dress as my accessories are all neutrals.  My maxi dress is straight down and as I’ve picked up some weight I prefer them to be fitted on my frame but not tight, so I throw on a wide belt to accentuate my waist and give me some shape. The denim jacket it the perfect layering piece, I decided to top it all off with my olive green statement earrings and pretty “P” initial necklace from Ainkas Jewels.  You know I love me some personalization and the P can represent pretty or my last name, depending on my mood..lol I switch intermittently between this letter P and the T, love these dainty initial necklaces.

When it comes to camo print, you find that people either really love it or they really hate.  There seems to be no in-between with this print.  I have to admit that earlier I was probably on the no love side, but that has definitely changed.  I have gone to the camo love side and there is no looking back..lol You know they say fashion should be fun and that is what I had in mind when it put this look together.  As you all know, if you’ve been following me for a while I love looking to Pinterest and Instagram for style inspiration.  It helps me to shop my closet, gives me ideas on pieces that I would have never thought of to put together on my own, and it has been helping me to figure out what works and what doesn’t and they say you’ll never know unless you try it.  Well I came across a look that featured pretty much everything I have on and I loved it.  Now I already had everything in my closet except for the bag.  I went scouring the internet for an inexpensive camo print bag and found this one on Ebay, the only problem was it didn’t have red trim, like the one in my inspiration pic.  So I ordered it anyway because it was under $10 and when I received it a couple of days later I looked through my sewing stash and found some bias binding and sewed it onto my bag.  I have to tell you I like this look, I think its fun and cute and works because although my tote bag is camo, the size and color of the print is different from my tee, so although it matches it isn’t match-matchy and the pop of red trim ties my shoes in. I know there are people who do nutlike the print, but I have to tell you I am all about camouflage cuteness and I can’t wait to use this bag for some print mixing with my striped tees..lolPretty tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion and DIY Style Blog - Camouflage Cuteness
