I like the way the cobalt blue “pops” in between my black leather jacket and jet black hair.

To make this cobalt blue knit scarf I used the long loom, but only used about 12 pegs going across and I used one skein of yarn.  I wanted it to be thin and long.  I was happy with how it turned out, with one exception. I wish I would have made it fuller, by either making it longer or wider.  I have another skein of yarn in the same color, so I think I may eventually add to it or just make another one and double them up when we are actually in a place that it gets cold enough to wear a knit scarf and not look crazy…lol

I’m curious, do any of you know how to knit or crochet, with just the hooks and needles?  If so, I envy you.  I really want to learn how to myself but until then I’m so happy I came across this kit.  I’ve already started working on one in a pretty burgundy color.

If you’re interested it appears to be sold out online at Walmart.com, but you can try your local store or I see it is available here also.

What I’m Wearing:

Pants: DIY using this pattern, love these

Jacket: Gap (Tall)

Top: INC via Macy’s old (re-purposed from a dress), similar

Shoes: Avenue size 12, similar

Bag: 3.1 Philip Lim for Target

If you’ve been following for a while now, then you will know that blue is my favorite color.  Although I wear it all year long, I am loving that there are so many options in this wonderful hue right now.  Unfortunately finding reasonably priced cobalt blue pants in my 36″ inseam has not been so easy to find.  So I was happy to find this brightly hued fabric to be able to make myself a pair.  What I love about these pants besides the length, color and fact that I made them myself, is also that they can be dressed up, as I am wearing them now or dressed down as I wore them here.  Additionally, the bold blue hue can be paired with so many other different colors, which I will be showing  you on the blog as I re-mix these pants a few more times to maximize my wardrobe.

What I’m Wearing:

Bottom: OldNavy.com

Top: Alloy.com, similar

Shoes: Avenue.com

Bag: Coach

Blue is my favorite color and I love it even more with a pop of red.  What is also a big favorite of mine is finding fab items of clothing for less. This dolman sleeve sweater (purchased two sizes bigger) so that I could wear it off the shoulder, was a clearance find I purchased this summer along with a discount code. So it was under $10 from Alloy.  I loved it so much I bought it in three other colors as well.  Can you blame me?  It was like getting three sweaters for the price of one.  It is slouchy, comfy and a tad bit sexy with the shoulder peeking out. ;)

Does anyone else purchase multiple of the same item?  I must admit I do this quite often, especially if I really love it.
