Blue is my favorite color and I love it even more with a pop of red.  What is also a big favorite of mine is finding fab items of clothing for less. This dolman sleeve sweater (purchased two sizes bigger) so that I could wear it off the shoulder, was a clearance find I purchased this summer along with a discount code. So it was under $10 from Alloy.  I loved it so much I bought it in three other colors as well.  Can you blame me?  It was like getting three sweaters for the price of one.  It is slouchy, comfy and a tad bit sexy with the shoulder peeking out. ;)

Does anyone else purchase multiple of the same item?  I must admit I do this quite often, especially if I really love it.

I have been looking for a camo-print jacket for the longest.  I was browsing online at Old Navy a few weeks ago and came across this one.  I was disappointed they didn’t carry it in “tall” sizes, but took my chances with the regular size.  There was a 30% discount going on at the time and I had some rewards I needed to use up.  I figured if the sleeves weren’t long enough I could simply roll them up because the price I was paying, was very minimal.  Once I received the jacket I was pleasantly surprised to see that the sleeves did indeed reach my wrists (although I could use an extra inch, they work).  It is listed as a shirt jacket because it is really a cross between the two.  I opted to wear it as a shirt here, but don’t think that I will be doing so again because of the boxiness. If I don’t take it in at the sides to give it shape than I will probably use it more on the light jacket side as a layering piece because I really love the color tones of this particular camo print.

P.S. Does anyone still stick to the rules about not wearing white jeans after Labor Day?  As you can see I don’t…lol

So I found a pattern that I am absolutely in love with.  I’ve made a top and three pair of pants from it already and plan on making a whole lot more.  They are both so easy to make and very fast to sew. Talk about comfortable to the tenth power as well.  These are the equivalent to throwing on a pair of sweats or yoga pants with a way more polished look.  Especially when you throw on a pair of heels and a blazer.  But these pants can easily be cuffed or rolled up and worn with a tee or sweatshirt and flats for a more casual as seen in a previous outfit post here.  I am loving sewing right now especially when I find the perfect fabric and pattern for my beginner skills.  I’m telling you my tall friends if you haven’t already bought yourself a machine, you need to get one, it will become your best friend. :)
