Okay so today’s look may be a case of red velvet overload…lol But sometime I become totally obsessive when I buy a particular item and then want other pieces in my closet to match it perfectly.  That is the case with these red velvet flats.  They were the first purchase and then I found the bag and then the kimono.  I also found a peplum top that is shown here today… and let’s not forget the Fenty Pumas I also now own in red velvet. It was like I just couldn’t stop.  Thought I was going to need an intervention. But I have now come to my senses looking at these pictures that I have enough..  Well almost I still want the red velvet came I linked up top….lol Now I just need to figure out different ways to weave and re-mix them throughout my wardrobe.  I think with the acquisition of this little red velvet kimono it should be quite easy though as I can see this as a piece that can easily be dressed up or down.  It can be layered over a tank as I am doing today, or layered over a turtleneck or fitted dress.  It can be left open to drape or closed with a brooch as well.  As least I did stick to my rule of acquiring pieces that i love and can fit seamlessly into my wardrobe.  Plus it was on sale, you know how I can’t pass up a good deal.

Burgundy Velvet Flats

Burgundy Velvet

So I came across his burgundy velvet bag on Ebay.  It was less than $20 and I absolutely love it.  It is Chanel inspired and I absolutely love the design of it.  For it to be under $20 the quality is actually very nice.  The burgundy color is rich and the velvet texture is luxe.  The stitching was perfect and the hardware isn’t flimsy at all.  Just really pleased with this bag.  I love it so much I also purchased it in blue, my favorite color. While looking for shoes to be able to pair with it I came across these burgundy velvet flats at alonai.com.  They match my bag perfectly as you can see in the pics and they are on sale for under $20!  They are available up to a size 13, which is what I am wearing and they are true to size.
