Hello lovelies! I hope today’s post finds you all well. Featuring bold colors yet again with my diy ankara print skirt that I self drafted. I made this skirt from this gorgeous fabric that I happened upon at fabric mart when I was in Hawaii. I loved the colors and the print immediately when I laid eyes on the fabric and thought I’m going to make a midi skirt and top. Well I ended up messing up the top and had to trash it but I still have my skirt, which was super easy to make. Simply stated, I put 2 pieces of rectangular fabric, longer width wise, sewed up at the sides. The top of the skirt is folded over and gathered with elastic encased. Then hemmed on the bottom and voila a super cute elastic waist band skirt. Less than an hour to make, and it really is the print of the fabric that makes this simple skirt stand out.

So as I perused my closet looking for another reason to wear this yellow jacket, my hand landed on this skirt with its, yellow, orange, grey and burgundy hues. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know this tall girl is not afraid of color!

I added matching fringe heels I scored for a little over $20, during an amazing sale a few weeks ago from Ashley Stewart online. I love this golden mustard yellow color and fringe is all the rage right now. I love how they match perfectly with my favorite jacket right now and will being wearing this combination a lot this year.

Thank you for stopping by!
Hugs,
