Floral Skirt

Hello Lovelies! Today’s look is one where I bought a dress from ASOS Tall because I loved the print and style but knew that the bodice may be a bit too risqué for me. But I couldn’t pass it up, because it was on major sale for around $20, and the water color print I just fell in love with. So when I received it, I tried it on and just like I thought the top part just wasn’t going to work for me but I loved the print even more in person and the scuba knit fabric made the fit of the skirt amazing. So I decided to cut the top piece off and I didn’t even have to do any sewing as the fabric is a scuba knit and I cut it clean just about the seam and top of the zipper and hook in the back. I was left with a perfect fitting midi skirt. This actually works better for me because I can mix and match it and get much more wear out of it. It looks so cute paired with a simple ivory tee and sandals and for when it gets chilly I can throw on a moto jacket in any one of the colors in the skirt as I did here or a cardigan, jean jacket and even a blazer. Have you ever refashioned a purchase to make it more your style?
