I have really been into scarves as of late.  They are an easy way to add visual interest to an outfit.  Especially if you choose one in a bold or vibrant color or eye catching print, such as this leopard print scarf I picked up from Target a couple years back.  I love the print and richness of the different color browns.  It draws ones eyes up toward the face and helps to camouflage any tummy action you may have going on, depending on how you i.e. it. ;)   What I also love about a good leopard print scarf is the versatility.  Today I am wearing it with neutrals and it is perfect for a fall look.  But this card is light weight so it an also be paired in the spring, I thinking with black and white stripes for a chic print mixing look.  It can pretty much be worn with anything because as you know, “leopard is a neutral.”pretty tall style - tall women's fashion blog - leopard print scarfWhat I’m Wearing:

Sporty Monochrome

Happy Halloween! Today I am dressed up as a fashion blogger..hehe It seems that every fashion blog that I follow has had the blogger dressed up in a midi skirt, graphic tee and a sporty jacket thrown over the shoulders at least once, so I thought today would be a good day to do it. ;) As much as I love color I find myself constantly gravitating towards black and white.  It is just something so fresh and crisp about this color combination and today I decided to go for a lady-like monochromatic look with a sporty twist.  What I’d like to call sporty monochrome, only problem is I googled the term and realized that I am not the first to come up with it…hehe But I did encapsulate it in today’s look and I like it! pretty tall style - tall women's fashion blog - plus size fashion - sporty monochromeWhat I’m Wearing:

Chambray Shirt Dress

I picked up this Old Navy Chambray Shirt Dress a couple of months ago online but never got around to wearing it.  For reference I am wearing a size large tall and love the fit and length of it and the sleeves are really long. I thought about how it could be transitioned into fall and decided to layer it underneath this cute quilted  red puffer I also picked up from Old Navy during a sale.  If you live in places that have mild falls and winter but you still like to dress for fall, than you may want to look into this vest.  It is quite thin and comfortable but gives you the perfect fall/winter layering effect.  Plus the price is great as well. Now on to my boots.  I have been wanting a pair of shiny red rain boots for quite sometime now.  Although a bit pricey, I was and still am very disappointed that the women’s Hunter brand wellingtons only go up to a size 11.  They have so many pretty colors.  I was able to pick up a pair of Navy unisex Hunter’s from Barefoot Tess last year in my size for a sizable discount during a promotion and they have been my only pair thus far.  So when I spotted these shiny red 14th and Union rain boots in a size 12 for less than $50 at Nordstrom Rack I knew they had to be mine and could not wait to wear them.
