Hello Lovelies! Another lesson I’ve been learning from my new short do’ is that sometimes less is more. And so today outfit is all about simplicity.
This skirt I’ve had for several months now. It was one of the five original pieces that the team over at ASOS sent to me to review when they first launched launched their tall line. When I first received it I tried pairing so many things with it that just didn’t look right to me or took away from the asymmetrical wrap detail of the skirt. For some reason a light bulb popped in my head and said don’t overthink it, keep it simple and I pulled out my black tank top and it was enough.
This look can be transitioned into fall by simply adding a denim jacket or a black sweater and worn during fall by adding my black leather jacket, black knit scarf and black booties. So my tip to you today is that if you have a piece in your closet that you haven’t worn because you couldn’t figure out what to wear it with. Just think about keeping it simple. Pick out a tee, or sweater in a solid color and let that one particular item be the focal piece. But make sure your shoes are cute…lol These lace up sandals by Nine West are a go to favorite of mine. I think a pair of really cute shoes in black are a closet must-have. They have n’t failed me yet.
