Black Maxi Skirt into Fall

What I’m Wearing:

Maxi Skirt: AlloyApparel.com (old), similar available in extended length

Top: Nine West via Ross

Cardigan: c/o TallCouture.com (currently on clearance for $39.99, limited sizes left)

Shoes: Steve Madden (although you can’t see them, they are black leather ballet flats)

Clutch: DIY

Do you have some pieces in your wardrobe that you only wear during a certain time of year but wish you could wear year long? Well maxi skirts are one of those items for me. I used to think of only wearing them during the summer months. Now with my addiction to Pinterest, I have found numerous ways to incorporate them into the fall/winter as well. Speaking of “numerous ways”, I have also found a number of ways to wear this cute 382 long sleeve cardigan in charcoal, from Tall Couture as well. (I can’t wait to show you in upcoming posts). It is extremely comfortable and versatile, definitely a piece that is perfect for all seasons.

I love the combination of navy and white stripes paired with a bright and bold color.

P.S. My Maxi skirt is actually a long tube dress that I just pulled down and wore as a skirt. It instantly became this tall girl’s perfect length maxi skirt.

Cobalt and Gray

Hello loves! I hope your weekend has been going good so far. Remember some posts back I told you all I was craving this Biker Jacket from Topshop but unfortunately it was sold out in my size. Well I checked back on April 9th and my size was back in stock. So I did not hesitate and snapped it up. It arrived a few days ago and I was a happy girl. The sleeves are über long. Its cropped which is the look I wanted. When I first told my husband I ordered he was a non believer because it wasn’t real leather which he prefers, but I advised him I had been looking for a jacket like this with long enough arms for me forever and PU was not that bad. So when the jacket arrived and I tried it on to show him, he actually liked it as well which was a plus. I ordered the jacket in a 12 US size and it is a bit roomy but that’s what I wanted so that if we head to the mainland during winter it can be layered with knits underneath. I wore this outfit yesterday to the mall and Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor with the family. I have to admit my shoulders were back and head was up, I was feeling pretty good kind of modelish. Love my new wardrobe addition!
