Happy Labor Day! Wearing a casual red, white and blue look for this Labor Day.  I hope all in the states have enjoyed your three day weekend.  My hubby was off on Friday as well, so it was a great four day weekend for our family. I decided to keep it casual and match-matchy for this holiday weekend.  I absolutely adore this Wonder Woman tee I picked up at Wal-Mart a few months ago for less than $10.  I’ve linked to a couple of similar ones that are under $10 below. How cute are these Asics?! When I spotted them on Nordstrom Racks Website for less than $50 I knew they had to be mine.  I love the gingham print on the inside and the red/whitenavy that go with a lot of my wardrobe. I also think that I am starting to become a sneaker head. In the past two months,  I’ve been trading in my heels for sneakers, they are more conducive to my current lifestyle.  I turn the big 4-0 this month and I am on a mission to be more active, and its easier for me to do when I have comfortable shoes on my feet.  I find myself taking the stairs and not minding parking further away.  I’m also ready to go for impromptu trips to the park or walks with my boys. :)Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's fashion and Lifestyle Blog - What to Wear on Labor DayWhat I’m Wearing:

Hello Lovelies, today on the blog I’m showing different levels of getting dressed, the return of my short and natural hair and a orange and blue color-block combination. When I’m getting dressed I always have the hardest time in choosing the right accessories, so I normally just skip them and chose not to wear any, although I have a dresser top of statement necklaces in an array of colors. So I decided to start with my base of jeans, a tank and a pop of color with my cobalt blue shoes and matching blazer. There are so many different color combinations that could be added to this base look for a myriad of outfits, which I will definitely be using and showing you here on the soon.  For today I decided to go with my High School colors of orange and blue.  I grabbed one of my newest acquisitions, my bright orange Fiore bag. It added just enough contradiction, for some visual interest, but something was still missing.  So I decided to add an orange necklace and at least for me it seemed to pull the whole look together and bring more attention up towards my face.

Now about my hair. Last month, the first week of July I had the hubby shave my head again to get rid of all of the remaining  relaxed ends from my pixie cut.  It was really, really low, I mean you could see scalp.  So I decided to rock my long and curly wig as I waited for some hair to grow back on my head..lol  Well finally after a month, I have enough hair on my head to debut my short and natural big chop.  So as usual with me and my hair you’ll see my short and natural one day and my bevy of wigs on other days as I try and continue to grow my own natural hair out.  My husband loves tis length on me and I do too, but I just get bored sometimes and want to try something new every now and then. But I have to admit that having natural hair this length is pretty easy to maintain. I can simply wash, condition, moisturize, add a little part or not and go.  It’s when I get to the TWA (teeny weeny afro) stage that I always seem to give up and reach for the relaxer.  Hoping that when I do get to that stage again I just rock my wigs until I’m past it.  But we shall see. 😉Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion and Lifestyle Blog - Showing levels to an effortlessly chic look - Cobalt blue, orange and white

Hello lovelies! Today I bring you a shorter pixie cut and printed midi dress look. As you all can probably tell by now I get pretty bored with my hair and like to try different looks. Short and natural, big and curly, long and straight, braids, twists, weaves , wigs  and everything in between. So this past week, when I took my braids down, I just decided to cut it all off again into a super short pixie. I love this length because it is super low maintenance. I simply wash, condition and add a bit of styling product and smooth it down with my hands and I am ready to go. Its perfect for the hot and humid summer temps that will soon be on their way.  Not sure if I will go back to a relaxer, keep it this length or let it grow out but for now I’m loving my short do’ again.  I thought this pretty printed midi dress would be a perfect outfit to showcase it.  I found this dress at Ross for less than $20! I love going there this time of year, especially when I haven’t been in a while.  I always seem to find at least one or  two dresses perfect for summer and well under budget.Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion and Lifestyle Blog - Pixie Cut and Printed Midi Dress - Real Everyday Fashion for Less
