Hi lovelies! Today I’m keeping it comfortable, casual and cool in my new black converse. I picked up these sneakers last weekend at the Converse store at our local Waikele Outlets. The hubby took me on an early shopping excursion for my, birthday which is actually on the 25th of this month. He will be out of town on a business trip so we celebrated doing my favorite thing at the outlets and Nordstrom Rack. I have been organizing my closet again and taking notes of classic items that I’m missing and black converse were on that list so I was happy to be able to pick these up. It was great because we received a 15% military discount on them as well since the Converse store is one that appreciate’s the military. So my husband and I both thought that was really cool. I know that I really appreciate him and all that he does so it is always great to see when others appreciate him as well. They even thanked him for his service, it made me smile.

I decided to pair my black converse with my new Old Navy Rock Star mid-rise coated black skinnies. If you recall I’ve stated before that sometimes Old Navy Jeans in tall, can be a hit or miss lengthwise for me. These jeans were definitely a hit. They are at least 36″ in the inseam, as you can see they bunch up a little down at my ankles, super long. I am wearing a 16 tall for reference. They also fit like a glove with the stretch. Hope this helps you if you were deciding whether or not to buy a pair yourself. Another plus is that they are currently on sale and can be found here.

Ooh and before I forget let me tell you about this Levi’s denim jacket I found at Ross! It’s the perfect wash and I love the slight oversized and relaxed fit of it. I found it in the men’s section while browsing with my husband. Its a size large and I absolutely love it. The sleeves are super long and it already has that worn in feel. What’s even more amazing is that it was only $24.99. Can you say score. So happy to have found this classic piece!

It’s so funny while my hubby was snapping these pics for me he makes a comment saying so you waited until you cut off all your hair to start dressing normal. I was like what does that mean. He says sneakers and jeans, that is how you’re supposed to dress…I’m like whatever..lol He is a man of very simple tastes. One of the things I love about him…most of the time…..lol
