Today it’s all about my new navy striped blazer. The easiest way to dress up what would otherwise be classified as a casual shorts and tee outfit, is to throw on a blazer. I decided to add pops of color with my tee and matching sandals, both from J. Crew and purchased on sale a few weeks ago. So let me tell you all about this navy and white stripe blazer. My Classic Mini-Stripe Ponte Blazer in navy/white stripe is from Gap and available in tall, regular and petite sizing. I am wearing a size 12 tall. The sleeve length is perfect and the body hits me right before the widest part of my hips. I love that this blazer is fitted and not boxy. It looks great worn open or buttoned up. The fabric is a medium/heavy ponte knit and it is fully lined throughout the body and sleeves. The quality is great. I was lucky enough to snag it while there was a promotion code discount going on a few weeks ago. Currently as I type this, there is a 25% off promotion, using the code STYLESAVE. This blazer is a classic piece that won’t go out of style. What I also love about this blazer is that it is totally re-mixable. It pairs well with so many colors, such as red, orange, purple, green and yellow, just to name a few. It can be used to print mix with florals. I also love the idea of wearing it with cognac or british tan accessories such as my coach bag seen here. Also, thinking it would look great with white jeans or a skirt, as well as navy pants and a pencil skirt. So many options that I will be showing you in later posts on the blog. My shorts are the Gap Boyfriend Roll-up Shorts in navy. With these shorts you have the option of wearing them rolled up boyfriend style, or unrolled as I am wearing them today. I am not a short-shorts girl, so I love the length of these (tall size) boyfriend shorts worn rolled up or rolled down. I love the versatility, that they can be made a bit more polished by rolling them down and adding a blazer as seen here today or worn very casually, rolled up with just a tee or tank and some sandals or sneakers. When you’re working on a re-mixable wardrobe it’s all about pieces that give you different options, versatility and variety!
Thank you for reading!
Hugs,
