Keeping it short and sweet today with a quick review of this washed blue chambray shift dress from Old Navy. I have to be honest and say that this is probably one of the few times that Old Navy’s Tall sizing let me down.  I really wanted to love this little dress, but it just didn’t fit me quite right.  The top portion of this dress was too small, as it felt tight across my chest, shoulders and arms. The length was a tad too short for me as well.  The bottom half and waist were actually sized right though. I ordered this in my normal size large tall.  I thought about going a size bigger, but then felt the bottom half would be too wide and look tenti-sh.  If you are on the shorter end of the tall spectrum 5’8″ to 5’11” and slim I could see this really working for you and being super cute, but if you’re any taller and boobilicious (haha) as I am, I would say to pass on this one, although it is super cute with the embroidered detail and I just love chambray.  Unfortunately, this is a no go for me but I will be passing it on to my sister as I think it will work out very well for her.Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion and DIY Blog - Short and Sweet

I, too, generally do well with Old Navy. I also very much enjoy your posts and advice.

I agree that it’s just a tad too short on you. That shade of blue is great on you, though! And the top half of the dress is really cute. Bummer it wasn’t what you were hoping for. 🙁 I hate it when that happens. Did you try it with leggings? Wonder if that would work…

Thanks Corrinne. I thought about leggings but I only really wear them in the fall/winter. I think I just may have to attempt to sew my own and put my embroidery skills to work..lol. 🙂
