What I’m Wearing:
Skirt – DIY, similar
Top – Ebay
Jacket – Topshop, similar
Booties – Christian Siriano for Payless, similar up to size 13
Clutch – Claire Vivier
I’ve wanted a plaid pencil skirt for a while now and had my eye on one from Topshop that was available in tall. But I had not made a trip to my local fabric store in a while so I decided to go by there first to see if I could find fabric because I’d be able to make a plaid pencil for around $10. I was excited when I laid my eye on this red plaid fabric. It was just what I was looking for and was only $5.99 a yard, and I only needed 1 yard for this skirt. Major deal!
I had received my Claire Vivier Flat Clutch Supreme in the mail from Piperlime and could not wait to use it. This was also a coup for me because I purchased it while Piperlime was having a 30% off discount code sale. I’ve wanted this clutch bad and I’m so glad I waited because with the discount code and some rewards dollars I had, I was able to get it for half the price. You all know I love deals! I believe it was Jenna Lyons who stated, “leopard is a neutral” and I totally concur. I will be pairing this clutch with numerous outfits. But I would have never thought of pairing leopard with plaid, but thanks to Pinterest I tried it and looking at these pics it just works. My graphic Tee was a fun and trendy find on ebay and only cost me $12 including shipping. I’m quickly learning how graphic tee’s can play a major role in a remix-able wardrobe and they are quite inexpensive which makes it a plus. This was another step forward on my journey of becoming a tall fashion-ista Army wife/mommy on a budget. (Although I’m sure the hubby would say what budget)…hehe
How do you feel about print mixing and the idea of pairing leopard with other prints?
Hugs,
