This Old Navy shift dress is designed to hit at the knee per the description on the website.  I ordered the large tall and the measured length is 40.5″ from the shoulder to the front hem.  I am 6’4″ tall and as you can see this shift dress hits me well above my knees, but it passes the (old rule of thumb) as it falls a couple of inches below my fingertips.  So depending on where you fall in the “tall spectrum” hopefully this gives you a better perspective of where it will fall on you.  Although I would have preferred for it to hit me a couple of inches longer I decided to keep this dress because I don’t think that it is “too short” to wear out for a casual lunch date, can also be used as a beach cover up and paired with shorts underneath thrown on to run errands in the hot temps. It is made up of a 55%linen/45% rayon blend and machine washable (although I dare not throw it in the dryer).  I love this rich saturated ‘hot tamale’ color which is on trend with one of Pantone’s 2017 colors for spring “flame”.  This linen blend cutwork embellished shift dress is currently on sale for $22 and available in regular, tall and petite sizes.

I think a gold tone watch is definitely a great accessory to have in one’s wardrobe, especially if your not big on jewelry such as bracelets. It adds bling as well as functionality.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that comfort really is key for me now in my footwear.  Yes I know no one wants the first thing someone says about their shoes is those look really comfortable…lol So I’ve made a a concerted effort recently in trying to find shoes that are practical to my lifestyle, comfortable on my feet and cute. These Sam Edelman’s fit the bill. I spotted them on Nordstrom Racks website several weeks ago and immediately they reminded me of the pricey designer Hermes ones, which are definitely out of my price range, so when Iayed eyes on these in my size 13 I quickly added them to my cart.  I’m still upset that I missed out on the black ones because these tan ones will be in heavy rotation this summer.Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion and DIY Blog

This J. Crew leather tote that I had monogrammed with my initials will always be a fave and again a true classic that has held up and is still very relevant and useful.  Investing in a well made quality leather bag whether real or vegan is definitely a must.

Thank you for stopping by!
