Pretty Tall Style - Tall Fashion Blog - Black and White Gingham Shirt

A gingham shirt is a great piece to have in your wardrobe.  They are super versatile and perfect all year round.  I have several gingham shirts in a multitude of colors. Today I am dressing up my black and white gingham shirt, by pairing it with my DIY (faux) leather skirt, bow pumps and pearls.  Last week I used it as a layering piece under a sweater as seen here.Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion Blog - How to Dress up a Gingham ShirtWhat I’m Wearing:

Pretty Tall Style- Tall Women's Fashion Blog - Fuchsia and Cobalt Blue

Today’s look is simple and casual.  Decided to let the for do the talking on its own.  I’ve been playing around with different color combinations and I love the boldness of this fuchsia and cobalt blue combination.  It’s enough to brighten up any dreary cold winter day.  I also love how something so simple as a scarf can instantly add some oomph to such a basic look. If you choose a color that works well with your skin tone or your favorite color it brightens up your face as well and draws attention upwards.Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion Blog - Fuchsia and Cobalt BlueWhat I’m Wearing:

Holy Chic Tall Girl

Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion Blog - Holy Chic

Hello Lovelies! Today I’m showing how a graphic tee can be glamorized.  I purchased a couple of these cute graphic tees from Old Navy and this Holy Chic tee is definitely one of my favorites.  As you know I love graphic tees because they are so easy to wear.  They can be worn with pretty much everything from jans, shorts, pants and skirts.  Most importantly they can be dressed up or down, helping to maximize your closet.  Another bonus is that they are very inexpensive depending on where you purchase them.Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Clothing - Holy Chic Tee

Today I decided to pair my holy chic tee with my white and black gingham plaid diy skirt.  I made this skirt last year but never had the chance to wear it because I couldn’t zip it up.  Not sure what happened with the fit when I was cutting the pattern out. But I do know it was probably operator error and definitely not the pattern..lol  But  was happy to put it on this year and be able to zip it up, so all is good.Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion Blog

I glamorized my tee by adding a bit of bling with my statement necklace from J. Crew and these gorgeous Bow pumps.Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Fashion Blog - Holy Chic Tee

By adding a blazer thrown casually over the shoulders as seen below, just reads chic and keeps you warm on a chilly night.Pretty Tall Style - Tall Women's Clothing - Holy Chic Tee

I decided to tuck in the chain strap of my L.A.M.B handbag to carry it as a clutch, which I think makes it even more chic and perfect for a date night or evening outing.  Plus the pop of red breaks of the otherwise monotone look.  I just love a pop of color., especially since I have been gravitating towards black and white a lot lately.

DIY Printed Maxi Dress

DSC04493

Hello Lovelies! Today I am wearing my diy printed maxi dress for the second time on the blog.  I first wore it on the blog here.  You know I’m all about re-mixing and making the most of my closet, so I wanted to show how by simply adding a belt or changing up your shoes, and bag can transform your look.DSC04496_pp

When I first wore this dress is was more casual.  By adding this wide black belt it helps to define my waist and give this maxi dress a sleeker and more pulled together look.DSC04488_pp

Adding my diy black clutch makes it perfect for a night out on the town or date night.  Taking this diy printed maxi dress from day as I wore the first time to night as I am wearing it today.

I have a couple more ways to to get more looks out of this maxi dress by adding a blazer, moto jacket, and sweater or scarf and denim jacket that I will show in upcoming posts.  Hopefully this helps you to maximize the wearability of your maxi dresses as well. 🙂DSC04478_ppWhat I’m Wearing:
