This Long grey maxi cardigan is perfect for (Hawaii) sweater weather. I’ve had it for almost a year now and I still love it as much as I did from the first time I wore it. Read more

Olive Green Dress and Black Moto Jacket
Hello Lovelies! This basic style olive green dress is such a great piece that can get a lot of wear during any season.
I paired it simply with some cognac wedge sandals and a tassel necklace this past summer for a casual warm weather look.
Today I’ve paired it with a moto jacket and over-the-knee boots for an edgy fall look.
This winter I can easily see wearing it with some black leggings, black flat leather over-the-knee boots, a scarf and this same moto jacket.
I’m so happy I picked it up in black as well. When I find something I like, that fits well and I can see it pairing numerous ways with other items in my closet, it has pretty much become a no brainer to buy it in another color as well and although I love my color, I’m finding in my more “mature” age that I have been leaning towards more neutrals. Which for me now is great because it’s adding balance and making for a re-mixable wardrobe.
What I’m Wearing:
Dress: Old Navy Tall (sold out) , similar and available in tall, similar, similar, similar | Boots: Report via Nordstrom Rack (size 13), similar up to size 12, similar | Jacket: Toyshop Tall, similar, similar, similar, all available in tall sizes

Buffalo Plaid Button Down
Hello Lovelies! Today I am wearing the most appropriate fall shirt, a red and black buffalo plaid button down. I purchased this top a couple of months ago online from Old Navy and absolutely love it. I think it is a great place to shop for basic, everyday wearable items without breaking the bank. I also LOVE that they have an ample supply of tall clothing to match the regular size items.
I decided to rock my buffalo plaid button down, four different ways with the same basic pieces: A white tee, black skinny jeans and so I wouldn’t exactly look like a lumber jack, jazzed it up a bit with some high heel, platform over the knee boots. It goes to show that with the proper basics in your closet, you can really maximize your wardrobe.
Although I’m wearing the exact same four pieces, I created four totally different looks by simply changing up the way I wore my buffalo plaid button down. So if you haven’t already, get more use out of your plaid and flannel shirts this fall by throwing them over your shoulders, try tying them around your waist, button them and roll the sleeves up, or simply put it on without buttoning it. Another way that I didn’t even show here today is by putting it on and knotting it in the front, or making it a criss cross wrap and tucking it in.
If Buffalo plaid isn’t your thing substitute with your favorite plaid or flannel top. It works just the same. Hopefully this post has helped to inspire you with different ways to wear your basic pieces and get more mileage out of them. Can you imagine the possibilities of how many outfits can be created with this top, when I pair it with skirts, shorts and even dresses. Stay tuned and if you haven’t already, make sure to subscribe to the blog today so you don’t miss it! 😉
