Pretty Tall Style - Plaid and Chambray

What I’m Wearing:

Skirt: DIY using New Look 6053, similar, Tall | Shirt: Old Navy, Tall | Shoes: Payless, similar, up to size 13 | Bag: 3.1 Philip Lim for Target | Necklace: J.Crew (sold out)

I’m pairing plaid and chambray today with my DIY plaid pencil skirt.  I first wore it here with the graphic tee and moto jacket for an edgier look. This time I decided to pair it with my light wash chambray button up for a more professional look.   I already have a third outfit in mind to pair it with a chunky knit sweater.  Who knew that a  $6.00 diy plaid pencil skirt could get so much wear and be so versatile.

Have you tried pairing plaid and chambray together?

Thank you for reading!

  1. You are just GORGEOUS! wow! and you’re such an inspiration really. You inspire me to learn how to sow and make my own cool and beautiful clothing and to wear heels. I am 5’9 and to me that’s very tall. Most of my friends are quite short, the tallest is 5’6, so i am not always comfortable wearing heels, cause i obviously over tower everyone. When i see you, you really give me the confidence and boost, that it’s okay to wear heels even though you’re tall. so thank you for that!
Beautiful outfit, you look lovely! and i am loving the plaid too, i recently bought a button up plaid shirt!

    1. Hello Esther! Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes I too used to be afraid to wear heels but then I realized that being 6’4″ tall people are going to stare at me regardless so I might as well look cute and a few more inches really isn’t going to make a difference because I’m already super tall…lol But I am quite comfortable with and love my flats as well. 🙂 5’9″ is an awesome height and I’m happy to be able to inspire you. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I truly appreciate it and welcome. 🙂
