This DIY paisley blue maxi dress I made over a year ago I believe and still love it! It incorporates my favorite color blue and I love the print. When I first wore this dress on the blog here. The opening at the top was closed. To change it up a bit I just slid it open for a different look. I also plan on wearing this dress again later belted, worn with a shirt over it and tied at the waist, also by pairing a blazer and denim jacket over it.
Another way to easily change your look when re-wearing a maxi dress is by incorporating different accessories. For example today I am using my navy blue patent Kate Spade bag. But next time I may use my black clutch or finally find a pretty purple bag I have been on the look out for…lol
I love maxi dresses because they are so easy to just throw on and go. They are super comfortable and this especially because of the rayon challis material is light and breezy but opaque enough that I don’t have to wear a slip underneath. So it is perfect for a hot summer day.
I’m wearing it with flats today, so you can see it easily sweeps the ground. The best thing about making my own clothes s that I never have to worry about my dresses coming up short. Plus the money I save. This dress could easily be sold for $100, it only cost me about $15 in materials to make and was super easy using
