DIY Pink Floral Skirt

Pretty Tall Style - Tall Fashion and DIY Blog - DIY Pink Floral Print Skirt

Pink and florals just seem so perfect for spring, throw on a denim jacket and you have the trifecta. This diy pink floral skirt was an easy make.  It only took about 1 yard and a 1/2 of fabric and I made it in about an hour.

This pink and white floral print cotton was another local Hawaii Fabric Mart purchase that had been sitting in my stash for quite some time.  When I first purchased it, I was going to make a pencil skirt and then decided on this elastic waist band mini skirt with pockets instead.  I think this style was more appropriate for the print and and light weight of the cotton.  To make this skirt I used a pocket pattern that I traced from another pattern and then took my remaining fabric folded it in half, cut it down the middle, sewed up the two sides, folded the top over, stitched leaving a small opening to guided the elastic through and then stitched it closed. This simple make is perfect for a casual weekend wear look. I love everything about this flirty spring mini and yes of course you know I had to have my pockets.  Its my current obsession.

  1. Wow great job. I can’t believe you made the Skirt. I need to practice more on my sew machine. The only I know how to do now is throw pillow.
